Matt Dorsey is a singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist from Orange County, CA. He has played with Beth Hart, Dave Kerzner, In Continuum, ProgJect, and is a founding member of Sound of Contact. After decades of performing with other bands, Matt is embarking on a solo career with a forthcoming debut album entitled “Let Go,” on which he performs guitar, bass, keys and vocals, with a few special guest appearances by Dave Kerzner, Marco Minnemann, and Jonathan Mover.
When asked what style his music is, he says, “It’s a blend of all the influences I grew up with including Rush, Yes, Pink Floyd, Steely Dan, XTC, The Police, Peter Gabriel, and Genesis. I like to call it Progressive-Pop-Rock.” Watch for the release in the coming months.
