King Crimson<\/strong>\u00a0alumni\u00a0DAVID CROSS<\/strong>\u00a0and his\u00a0LARKS’ TONGUES BAND<\/strong>\u00a0will tour North America in the Fall of 2024, celebrating the King Crimson Trilogy albums from the band\u2019s 1972-1974 period, when\u00a0Robert Fripp<\/strong>\u2019s led band released three seminal legendary albums:\u00a0LARKS\u2019 TONGUES IN ASPIC<\/strong>,\u00a0STARLESS AND THE BIBLE BACK<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0RED<\/strong>. The band will perform entirely the\u00a0Lark\u2019s Tongue In Aspic\u00a0<\/strong>album and most of the musics from other two albums, plus some improvs, very characteristic for the live\u00a0King Crimson<\/strong>\u00a0band from those days when\u00a0Robert Fripp<\/strong>\u00a0was accompanied by\u00a0Bill Bruford,<\/strong>\u00a0John Eato<\/strong>n and\u00a0Jamie Muir<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

DAVID CROSS<\/strong>\u00a0is an English electric violinist and keyboardist best known for playing with\u00a0progressive rock\u00a0band\u00a0King Crimson<\/strong>\u00a0from 1972 to 1974. Cross appears on their studio albums\u00a0Larks’ Tongues in Aspic\u00a0(1973) and\u00a0Starless and Bible Black\u00a0(1974), as well as \u201cProvidence\u201d, a live track on\u00a0Red\u00a0(1974), in addition to numerous concert recordings that have been released by\u00a0Robert Fripp’s\u00a0Discipline Global Mobile\u00a0label in the decades since.<\/p>\n

After leaving the band, David was a senior lecturer in Music Education at the London Metropolitan University and besides several projects and recording sessions, he kept alive his own band since 1994 releasing 10 albums. In recent years David Cross has toured all around Europe, Latin America and Japan with\u00a0Stick Men<\/strong>\u00a0(with other\u00a0King Crimson<\/strong>\u00a0alumni,\u00a0Tony Levin<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Pat Mastelotto<\/strong>, plus\u00a0Markus Reuter<\/strong>), vexing featured on albums\u00a0Midori\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0Panamerica<\/em>; as well with\u00a0David Jackson<\/strong>, the legendary sax player from Van Der Graaf Generator. In 2023 David toured with his band all around Europe celebrating the 50th anniversary of\u00a0Larks\u2019 Tongues In Aspi<\/em>c album. In 2024,\u00a0DAVID CROSS<\/strong>\u00a0and his\u00a0LARKS’ TONGUES BAND<\/strong>\u00a0will continue touring all around Europe, Japan and North and South America, adding some material from\u00a0Starless And Bible Back\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0Red<\/strong>\u00a0album to the band\u2019s live\u00a0repertoire.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
